Jenn Hovick has been named Vice President of Artist and Label Development at AWAL.
Based in Los Angeles, Hovick will report directly to Chris Hardy SVP Artist Development, North America & Head of Canada.
Hovick joined AWAL in 2018 to lead the company’s developing B2B business.
Prior to that, she spent a decade in the independent label and artist sector, including a six year tenure at online retailer Zappos.
At Zappos, she helped the former start-up grow from 50 employees to 1500.
She has also held senior roles at Universal Music Group Distribution/Fontana, INgrooves and Dine Alone Music.
Kirell’s promotion is the latest in a raft of recent promotions at AWAL.
In January 2022, Jennifer Kirell was promoted to Senior Vice President, Catalog & Retail Marketing.
In November 2021, AWAL launched a newly structured global team, and promoted London-based Aaron Bogucki from his role as VP, Marketing, to the new position of Global Head of Audience Development to spearhead the department.
In the same month, Charlotte Birch and Nathan Liddle-Hulme were promoted to joint Heads of Marketing for the UK at AWAL.
