When the forces of good can’t realistically be everywhere, but with an encroaching mercenary force taking over the country and doing wrong, players must utilize every mechanic available to stop an overwhelming force. Players will find themselves stretched thin with a small squad of mercenaries with wild personalities. But that’s why the game allows players to hire and train militia members to fortify various locations, like towns, around the game’s world.

To hire and train militia, simply:

  • Open the Strategic Map (key: M) and move to Operations.
  • Here, select Militia Training Operation.
  • Select your Trainer, pay for the service, and begin the training session.

It’s a relatively straightforward process that is, unfortunately, hidden behind a few different menus and screens.

Tip: Players will want to hire a mercenary trainer with a high leadership stat, like a custom merc, and consider hiring two trainers to speed up the process. However, hiring two means paying an additional $1,000 for the militia training session.
