Producer Ekta Kapoor turned 47 on Tuesday. The producer shared a video of herself on her Instagram handle. In the video, which also featured television actor Ridhi Dogra, Ekta revealed that her friends gave her a surprise by planning a birthday party for her. Sharing the video, Ekta wrote, “I got surprised. Couldn’t got to Tirupathi but will definetly go to Siddhivinayak temple and thank the lord for friends and family and I’ll reply to all your messages. Grateful and overwhelmed. Jai Mata Di.” In the video, Ekta can be heard saying, “I can’t believe all of these guys at Ridhi’s house. ” She later says, “There are these ballooms, these candles.” Ridhi then takes Ekta’s phone and asks her “So what do you wanna say?” Ekta replies, “I am in shock. Surprise manjhe party (Surprise means party).”
Sussanne Khan commented, “Sooo sweet. Happpy bday Ektooo baby.” Actor Rohit Roy wrote, “Happy happy birthday my dear Ekta.” Actors Dimple Jhangiani, Saanvi Talwar, Ridhima Pandit, Gurdip Punjj and others also wished her in the comments section of the post.
Ridhi shared the video on her Instagram Story and wrote, “Surprise birthday party. We wanted to pull something ordinary for you. And it’s proven that the most ordinary things become extra ordinary when appriciated with love and joy. Happy Birthday Ekta.”
Ridhi also shared a post from the birthday party on her Instagram account. Sharing a series of pictures from the birthday party, she wrote, “For someone who prefers to climb a mountain to get to her favorite temple every year on the eve of her birthday… When your plan got pushed We could not let you not experience the simple joy of birthday bring in’s like normal people An impromptu and humble attempt was made to take you by surprise and we SUCCEEDED!!! To the queen of all things grand and opulent on screen.”
She added, “You carry the wonder and awe of a child. You are aware, hard working and giving beyond your capacity.
