India’s VFX Revolution: IGN India Speaks With Baahubali 2 Visual Effects Supervisor on Creating Epic Action Sequences and More

India’s VFX Revolution is a series currently available on IGN India’s YouTube channel, where we speak to the people behind the visual effects of popular films from across the country.

So far, the series has covered Bollywood hits like Brahmastra, Pathaan, Ra.One alongside South Indian blockbusters like RRR from S.S. Rajamouli. Earlier in the series, we spoke with Pete Draper, the visual effects supervisor behind the first Baahubali film. During this conversation, we discussed the various sequences present in the film along with the world building of Mahismathi.

As part of the latest iteration of India’s VFX Revolution, Draper returns to the IGN India YouTube channel to talk about the sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

The film starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj is currently the highest-grossing film in India. Moreover, many consider it to be director S.S. Rajamouli’s best work.

In the latest episode, Draper sheds light on working with the man behind films like Eega, RRR and many others. He also puts special emphasis on Rajamouli’s knowledge about the world of visual effects in filmmaking.

Other than that, Draper talks about some of the film’s most iconic sequences such as the various battle scenes involving Prabhas and Daggubati’s characters.
