The Mobies Awards have declared the recipients of its awards on Friday, 14th July. Indian Esports organisation S8ul has left their mark on the global platform, by winning the Mobie “Global Impact on Mobile Gaming” Award. Here’s all you need to know about this new development.
S8UL wins Mobie for Global Impact on Mobile Gaming
The Mobies is the latest initiative by the team behind the coveted Esports Awards. They aim to recognise, document and reward “excellence in the mobile industry”. Indian esports organisation S8ul was declared the winners of the Global Impact on Mobile Gaming award. Mortal and 8bitThug were present at Los Angeles on Friday to receive the awards.
S8UL co-founder Naman “Mortal” Sandeep Mathur was also nominated for the Mobile Content Creator of the Year award, which was ultimately won by Judo Sloth who is known for creating content on Clash of Clans. Harsh ‘Goblin’ Paudwal was nominated for Mobile Esports Players of the Year, but he lost to Frederic “Bennyqt” Gonzales.

The winners of the Mobies were selected by a panel of 9 industry experts from across the world, which included Wasif Ahmed, an Indian journalist from India. As stated by S8UL in their press release informing us of their win, this award is a “testament to India’s dominance as a mobile-first gaming country with 90% of players preferring to play video games on mobile only.”

Last year in December S8ul had also won the award for the Content Group of the Year at the Esports Awards 2022. The organisation is currently gearing up for the upcoming S8ul Gaming Festival scheduled for July 29-30. Tickets to the event can now be bought online.
