The one-year long programme will be offered in a device-to-device mode in association with Jaro Education for a total 92 students enrolled in the first batch of PGCMMA.
The programme is designed for working professionals who aspire to take up managerial roles in the organisation leveraging latest advancements in Manufacturing Management.
The Programme aims to provide an understanding of the basic concepts, tools and techniques required for effectively managing manufacturing systems using analytics.
“Through hands-on exercises, practical applications and case studies, this programme will help participants to provide quantitative reasoning and generate useful insights to improve the planning process, manufacturing efficiency, yield, and future performance, leading to a sustained competitive advantage,” said Godwin Tennyson, acting director of IIM Trichy.
He also highlighted the uniqueness of this programme as it combines the traditional field of manufacturing management with the contemporary field of analytics.
Chief guest of the event N Ananthaseshan, managing director, Carborundum Universal Limited (CUMI), stressed on the need for acknowledging the exponential changes happening around and urged everyone to be prepared for managing them.
He encouraged the participants to develop relevant meta-skills in these turbulent, uncertain, novel, and ambiguous (TUNA) circumstances in addition to the knowledge that they will gain through the programme.
