Honkai: Star Rail’s Trash Can Dialogues are Cracking Up All Players

As we all know, Genshin Impact developers, Hoyoverse recently released a brand new space fantasy RPG title, dubbed as Honkai: Star Rail. The game is a “spiritual sequel” to Honkai Impact 3 and is a free to play title just like Genshin Impact. However, the game differs from Genshin Impact in terms of combat and exploration, as Honkai: Star Rail features turn-based combat instead of real-time battles and offers a more linear exploration style.

In case you haven’t been following Honkai: Star Rail news, the game has been trending recently, thanks to one of its quirky easter eggs. As spotted by Polygon, the game has some genuinely funny dialogues when the players interact with trash cans in Belobog. The interaction shows the players the amount of thought that the developers have put into the game, even while writing dialogues related to interactions with something as insignificant as a trash can.

The first time players click on a glowing trash can, they are met with the dialogue “A trash can, not remarkable in any way.” The glow around the trash can remains after the dialogue, so the player would need to click again for the next dialogue, “You’ve been staring at it for a while, but it’s just an ordinary trash can.” At the same time, one of the player’s allies, March 7th asks them, “Ugh… What do you want to do?”

The player has to click one last time to experience the next series of hilarious commentary over their interaction with the trash can. Check out the complete dialogue below:

“You try to hold back the urge to open it. As you continue staring at the trash cans, they seem to turn before your very eyes. The edges are no longer rusty and the dents are smoothed over. From under the lid comes a faint golden glow, sweet and alluring. For a moment, the trash cans turn into treasure chests. … And it’s happening again. You take a depth breath and open the lid: It’s empty… Wait! You reach deeper into the trash can. There’s a piece of iron scrap on the bottom. Your hard work paid off! You finally found the treasure! You look back at your companions and see their complicated expressions.”

Moreover, at the same time, the player also receives some funny responses from their allies, March 7th and Dan Heng. March 7th says that they understand, and the player doesn’t need to explain it, as this urge was too great for them to resist. Dan Heng makes it worse by saying that once the player has walked down this path, there is no turning back. There are such bits and pieces of hilarious interactions spread all over the game, be sure to not miss them out.
