In a fascinating tale of luck, Razer Kraken headphones have allegedly saved the life of an 18-year-old boy in the United States. As per a post by Reddit user Enough_Dance_956, the headphones blocked a bullet that came in through the bedroom window and saved his life. According to images shared in the post, the strap of the headphones took the hit and stopped the bullet from reaching the boy’s head. The incident happened in California.
“hello to everyone who sees this. i’m trying to get a hold of someone at razer to thank them with all my heart. wednesday morning at 10:30am a stray bullet went through my window and hit the razer headphones on top of my head. if it wasn’t for the headphones made with good quality i would’ve been a dead kid at the age of 18. i couldn’t even imagine all the pain my family and friends would’ve been through.” Enough_Dance_956 wrote in Reddit.
“it came from a block away. it was a stray bullet. someone with bad aim almost killed me while i was just taking to my friends… the bullet went through my window into my headset and bounced off the wall and landed in my bed. we waited for the cops to take it” the boy said in a follow-up comment.
The story does look like a movie scene and netizens started questioning the authenticity of the event as well. To support his claims, Enough_Dance_956 shared more images of his room and the bullet in another Reddit post. Razer reportedly reached out to the user and offered to replace his headset. However, the boy turned down the offer.
Although we can not confirm the authenticity of the story, it is worth noting that Razer Kraken headphones feature a metal band with some padding in the head strap. Headphones with plastic construction would not have offered similar protection.
