Warner Bros. are in the process of rebooting all the projects that come under their umbrella. Just recently it was announced that the entire DC Universe will go through a major reboot with Henry Cavill leaving the squad. It looks like DC is not the only franchise that could be going through a change in the future.

One of the most beloved franchises across the globe is now rumored to be getting a reboot. Yes, we are talking about the Harry Potter Universe. According to the latest tweet by Entertainment Analyst, wdwpro, (Warner Bros. Discovery) WBD is reportedly looking to reboot the franchise. This reboot includes recasting the actors in the next 3-5 years. He also stated that more information about this rumor will be presented to the fans through a YouTube video.

The video is now out on Valliant Renegade’s channel. In Valliant Renegade’s video, the YouTuber is talking to WDW Pro about the additional details. Both first talked about the source of this information, stating that it comes from one single person. They also assured the fans that they wouldn’t have relayed this information if they weren’t sure about it. But it should be put in the rumor category. Then they spoke about the Harry Potter universe and how it is called the ‘Wizarding Division’ internally. The video emphasized that rebooting will also include the recasting of the iconic cast of the movie franchise. Moreover, this is not a spinoff movie like Fantastic Beasts. Instead, it is the core Harry Potter story that will be reimagined under a new wing. Check out the video below:

Hogwarts Legacy caught in controversy

In other news, Hogwarts Legacy has once again been caught amidst another Transphobia controversy. The events of this controversy took place on Reddit. According to the information available, a post from r/Gamingcirclejerk has gone viral calling out JK Rowling a TERF (trans-exclusionary radical feminist). The post outlined that anyone supporting the writer monetarily will also be categorized as a Transphobe.

The issue is that though the fans agree that JK Rowling’s views about the transgender community are skewed and harmful. It won’t not change their view towards the Harry Potter franchise. The franchise is filled with nostalgia and the best moments of their childhood, which players would do anything to relive. It would even mean inadvertently supporting a TERF for that matter. Members of r/Gamingcirlcejerk also recognize this issue and a Redditor by the username u/AlpacasAreGreat even posted a meme highlighting the dilemma.
