GTA Online’s Next Story Update, Los Santos Drug Wars, Available Now

Grand Theft Auto Online’s Los Santos Drug War expansion is now available, bringing with it new story content, cars, and more.

This update, available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, and PC, adds six main missions to GTA Online which act as the opening chapter of a new story arc.

With the incredibly Grand Theft Auto goal of setting up an acid lab in the back of what’s essentially an armoured RV, players meet with Dax and his group of “hard-partying nonconformists” called the Fooliganz.

The group is looking to dominate the Blaine County drug trade, and it’s the players job to get them there. Participating in these new missions will earn players double currency and RP rewards until December 22.

The Los Santos Drug War update brings five new vehicles to GTA Online – the Överflöd Entity MT hypercar, Annis 300R, Declasse Tulip M-100, Zirconium Journey II, and BF Surfer Custom – but dozens more will be added in the coming weeks and months.

Hundreds of clothing items have also been added, and developer Rockstar has made various quality of life improvements including increased payouts in Smuggler’s Sell missions, launching Business Sell missions, the ability to take on Agatha’s Casino Story missions solo, and more.

In our 10/10 review of the base game, IGN said: “Preposterously enjoyable, breathtaking in scope and bitingly funny, GTA V is a landmark game.”
