Grogan, Lopez Named MSC Baseball Players of the Week

Bowling Green, Ky. – Thomas More’s (Ky.) Mychal Grogan and Georgetown’s (Ky.) Nick Lopez have been named MSC Baseball Players of the Week, announced conference officials Monday.

MSC Baseball Player of the Week

Nick Lopez – Georgetown (Ky.) – So. – C – Huntington Beach, Calif.

• Lopez connected for eight hits to lead the Tigers through a three game stretch.
• The sophomore recorded an average of .727 in 11 at-bats.
• His hits included three doubles, a homerun, and seven RBIs.
• Against Bryan (Tenn.), Lopez went 3-3 with a double and four RBIs.
• This is his first career MSC weekly honor.

MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Mychal Grogan – Thomas More (Ky.) – Jr. – RHP – Cincinnati, Ohio

• Grogan’s performance on the mound led the Saints to a 6-1 victory over Pikeville.
• He went nine innings complete, allowing just two hits from the Bears.
• The junior recorded 11 strikeouts, walking just three batters.
• This marks his first weekly honor of the season and the third in his career.
