Google rolls out final beta for Android 12, official launch expected in coming weeks – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Google released the first beta of Android 12 at its annual developer conference I/O 2021 in May this year. Now it appears that the company is all set to launch the final version soon. The giant has now released the final beta for Android 12.
The Android 12 beta 5 does not bring any major changes and packs in the latest fixes and optimisations for the operating system. The latest update includes a new 7.0 version of the Google Clock app and also allows users to swipe up from the main screen of the Pixel Launcher to access the search bar.
The home controls can now be accessed from the lock screen instead of the power button. The update also brings a new calculator app with the ‘material You’ UI. With the roll out of Android 12 Beta 5, the device personalisation service is now called Private Compute Core.
The Android 12 beta 5 is now available for Pixel 3 and later. You can download the beta version from the Android developer website manually and can also enroll by clicking on this link. Google also mentioned that it will release the stable and final Android 12 version in the coming weeks.
Google is expected to launch the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones this month. The company will release the final version of Android 12 at the same lauch.
Recently, Google launched its mid-range Pixel 5a smartphone in the US and Japan. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor and it comes with Titan M security module for on-device security. The device packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It runs Android 11 operating system and the users are guaranteed to get at least three years of software upgrades.
