google: Google Pay may suggest you the ‘best’ credit card to use in future – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Google has revealed in a developer session that in the future, its payments app Google Pay may suggest the credit cards that could give you the best rewards for your online purchase, as per a report by Android Police.
In the “What’s new in Google Pay” session of I/O, Google’s Rajiv Apna explained about the new things the company has brought to Wallet like new APIs and other tools and the features it is going to add like support for virtual cards, replacing the physical wallet with a digital one and so one. But he also revealed a possible feature that could come in the future.
“In the future, we will look to provide even more helpful information about the card benefits such as points, cashback, and purchase predictions, so our users can make the best choice when they are checking out.”, said the product lead.

It means simplification using Google Pay when checking out of a store, at least on paper. The probable feature would cause less furrowed brows when people are checking out of a store as it would just suggest the best card to use for a particular purchase if you have multiple cards registered.
All that being said, there is no confirmation yet whether the feature is coming anytime soon to the US and other countries including India. We will have to wait for the future Google is looking to reach.
