The upcoming Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL) by JetSynthesys is set to offer an exciting experience to fans of cricket, gaming, and esports. This esports league has a massive prize pool of INR 2.51 Crore and will be broadcasted on JioCinema and Sports18.
For those wondering, GEPL is a team-based e-cricket and entertainment league. Through the course of 15 weeks, fans will get to see 56 league matches in the closed league stage and 4-play off matches at the grand finale. This grand finale is scheduled to be held at a “prominent venue in Pune.” In this esports competition, players will play the free-to-play cricket simulation game for iOS and Android devices, Real Cricket 22.
The registration phase of the competition spanned from June 28 and July 8, 2023. During that time, the esports league got 2 lakh pre-registrations from a pool of 1 crore e-cricket athletes that averaged over one hour of playtime every day in Real Cricket. After the registrations, the qualification phase took place, where the top 100 were selected out of the 2 lakh.
