Popular mobile gaming platform Glance Gaming has been rebranded as Nostra. The company announced the name change, with plans for expansion when it comes to live game streaming and esports.
As mentioned in a press release, Nostra currently has over 75 million monthly active users in online gaming, which makes it India and Southeast Asia’s largest mobile gaming platform. Furthermore, Glance has also stated that a third of the user base views content based around live game streaming and esports tournaments.
Even though Nostra currently ranks at the top of Southeast Asia rankings, the platform has no intention to slow down anytime soon, with hopes of global domination. The company has mentioned that it hopes to reach “200 million monthly active users globally by expanding to new device surfaces and global markets.”
Piyush Shah, co-founder of InMobi Group and president & COO of Glance shed more light on Nostra’s ambitions. He said, “Glance is fully committed to its role in the growth of the gaming industry and Nostra is a huge part of this vision.”
The plans for expansion begin with an improvement to Nostra’s gaming library. Currently, the platform has 400+ in 15 categories across instant and Android games. By the end of 2023, Nostra aims to add 600 more, bringing the total to over 1000.
Plus, Nostra has also shared details on the platform’s future endeavours with its fastest growing vertical, esports and live-streaming. This will be done with additional “daily streams, tournaments, and partnerships with leading esports organisers.” Moreover, Nostra has also announced its IP in Nostra Gaming Week, which is “a week-long gaming festival where esports teams from across the country will get an opportunity to compete across multiple popular games.” So far, the platform has up to 50 daily live streams, across 20 titles.
