Genshin Impact Version 4.2 Special Program: Date, Time, and New Features

The Genshin Impact Version 4.2 Special Program livestream is scheduled for November 3 at 5:40 PM IST (8:10 AM ET) on the official Twitch channel. Later, the program will be available on the game’s YouTube channel, just like previous livestreams.

What to Expect in the Genshin Impact Version 4.2 Livestream

During the Special Program, we anticipate the reveal of new content and features for Genshin Impact such as the introduction of the new Hydro Archon Furina, Cryo healer Charlotte, a new area in Fontaine is also rumoured, as well as the addition of a new World and Weekly Boss each.

Minor improvements

Other minor features will include a “Quick Challenge” system that will make it easier to challenge Weekly Bosses, without clearing the story related to the boss. Improvements to Story Quests will be made too.

More map pins

There are also some minor updates coming to the in-game map and the Genius Invokation TCG. As previously discussed by the developers, you’ll soon be able to add more pins to the map, which is great news because the map has expanded, but the number of pins hasn’t kept up. Starting with Version 4.3, you’ll have a total of 200 pins available.

Genius Invokation TCG updates

In the Genius Invokation TCG, there will be an “Accelerate Duel” feature that lets you speed up animations in the card game mode. Additionally, they’re introducing a new “Deck Sharing Code” system, which will make it easy to share your decks with others online.

Similar to previous Genshin Impact livestreams, this one will also provide reward codes that grant Primogems and in-game resources.

With the launch of Version 4.2, HoYoverse is also set to provide teasers for upcoming characters, following their customary “drip marketing” approach. There are speculations that Fontaine’s Navia might be the next character announcement.
