Genshin Impact v2.6 Beta Leak: The Chasm, Dendro Element, New Characters, Possible Reruns and More

It’s only been two days since v2.5 has been launched, and already us Genshin players are looking forward for v2.6.

Very little is known about Genshin Impact v2.6 at this time, although HoYoverse previously announced Ayato and The Chasm. Since most of these leaks are unverified, they are open to changes and revisions, so please take everything with a grain of salt.

The Chasm

The Chasm has been teased during the new update and concept art was shared during the v2.5 livestream. HoYoverse shared official looks at both the Underground and Aboveground concepts, a massive Ruin Serpent boss and the fact that we will be able to access the region through some cliffs in Liyue.

A recent update by a credible Genshin leaker has revealed some additional information about Chasm. According to the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit, The Chasm will be heavily tied with two popular characters, the long-awaited Yaoyao and Doctor Baizhu, who are rumored to be Dendro Characters.

Another credible leak has revealed the Chasm map alongside the six teleport waypoints including a Statue of The Seven. Could this be related to the Corrupted Statue of The Seven we see early on in the game?

Kamisato Ayato and new Characters

Official images and information of Kamisato Ayato were released on social media and leakers revealed the combat kit and animations. While he wasn’t outright confirmed for the update, Ayato can almost be guaranteed to be the new 5-star Banner character in Genshin Impact v2.6.

Officially, there is no confirmation about the release of either Yaoyao and Baizhu, rumored to be Dendro users, but we should expect them to come out in this patch or possibly in v2.7 or another one further down the line.

Indications that Heizou could not be in update 2.6 seem accurate. But it seems likely that he’ll get a Hangout Quest to go along with his release. While his element has not been verified, current sources indicate that Heizou will be a 4-star unit in the game.

Dendro Elemental Reactions

So far the only elemental reaction that includes Dendro is Burning. The grass is considered to be a Dendro object and will spread the burn effect in a specific area. The fact that this element only interacts with Pyro might be one of the reasons why we haven’t seen a Dendro character yet. Incorporating Dendro into the current core gameplay would surely require a major change to the elemental reaction fighting mechanics in the game.

New Artifact Sets

Two artifact sets were leaked, rumored to be specific sets for Xiao (or Hu Tao) and Ayato respectively. The details of the two haven’t been confirmed yet but this is what we know:

Vermillion Hereafter

2 piece: ATK 18%

4 piece: After using an Elemental Burst, the character will gain a buff, increasing their ATK by 8% for 16 seconds. When the character loses HP, their ATK will further increase by 10%. This increase can occur once every 0.8 seconds, up to a maximum of 4 stacks.

Echoes of an Offering

2 piece: ATK +18%

4 piece: Normal Attacks have a 36% chance to trigger (once every 0.3 seconds) a buff that boosts Normal Attack DMG by 60% of the characters ATK. The buff expires 0.05 seconds after the next Normal Attack that deals DMG. If a Normal Attack does not trigger the buff, the next Normal Attack will have an additional 20% chance to trigger it.

Potential Banners

In addition to Ayato’s potential arrival, we can expect to see a re-run of either Ayaka or Venti, potentially alongside Ayato.

Inazuma Festival: Irodori

This is rumored to be the main event of version 2.6, the event will play out in a similar manner to the Lantern Rite of Liyue, with cameos of beloved characters and lots of mini-games. Xingqiu is also rumored to be the reward for reaching a certain level in the festival games.
