Genshin Impact 3.8: An Invitation From Afar Quest Guide

Genshin Impact’s 3.8 Update has added an all-new region to the game, but in order to reach the region, players need to complete the An Invitation From Afar quest which is a part of the Secret Summer Paradise Part 1 event.

In order to start the An Invitation From Afar quest, players first need to complete a number of prerequisites, which might take some time if they are new to the game. Fortunately, some of them are entirely skippable, thanks to the newly added Quick Start feature in the game. If you aren’t familiar with the quick start feature, you can use it by simply heading to the event page and clicking on the Quick Start button after meeting the mandatory prerequisites. Here are all the prerequisites for the quest.

A Mysterious Missive On Paper Wings

The first part of the questline requires you to head to the Mondstadt region. Once you are in Mondstadt, you need to go to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters. If you are not familiar with the location, you can find it on the map above. Inside the Knights of Favonius Headquarters, take a left and head inside the room to find Jean, Klee, and Kaeya inside. Upon interacting with them, you will learn that you need to travel to Sumeru to meet someone. After reaching Sumeru, you need to make your way to the Gandharva Ville, to meet Collei and Eula. Eventually, you will make your way to the desert, marking an end to the A Mysterious Missive on Paper Wings quest.

Glaze Domain, Multum In Parvo

After getting lost in the desert, Klee will summon a bottle that will take the party to the newly added area in the update, Veluriyam Mirage. You will meet a Water Bubble that will lead your way, and you need to continue following until you reach a small minigame requiring you to enter the Preprint. Before you use the Streaming Projector, make sure you remove the boxes blocking the path of the beam. Just use the lifts and boxes to make your way across the platforms, and your objective is to collect all the treasure chests.

Once that’s done, you will free another water bubble. From there on, you need to continue following the quest marker until you reach another Preprint minigame. The process is pretty much the same this time around as well, clear the boxes on the way, and use the Streaming Projector. Once inside the projector, collect all the chests to complete the Preprint minigame to mark the end of the Glaze Domain, Multum in Parvo quest.

Follow the quest marker to reach another area in the Veluriyam Mirage. Once you climb up the ladder, you will meet Ferdinand who will guide you about the tracks. Use the cart to reach the next location, where you will need to complete another Preprint. Remove the box and activate the Streaming Projector to start the minigame. Once you complete it, the tracks will be fixed and you can continue your way forward. After meeting Jeroney, head back and use the flower to change the track. Precisely, you need to change its color to yellow by interacting with it. Use the cart once again to meet Haddo, and then head back. Jump on the flower to activate the Torrential Twister and meet Haddo once again. On the way back, make sure you destroy at least 3 Bloatty Floatties to clear the way, and then reunite with the party. Hand the component to the Idyia to complete the quest line.
