Genshin Impact fans are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the 2.7 Update, and it seems like it all set to end pretty soon as per report.

According to a new leak posted on the Little Kazuha subreddit, the 2.7 update could be shorter than what we normally see. Usually, an update lasts for 42 days. This is the schedule miHoYo has been following for over a year now and nobody would have expected that miHoYo would swtich things up. But it seems like this will be the case for the 2.7 update.
Genshin Impact 2.7 Leak Reveals Update Shortened, Livestream Could Come Soon
In the post, the leaker mentions that they have seen data which confirms that the update has been shortened. It is not exactly revealed how much it has been shortened, but it does make a lot of sense from the developers standpoint. The 2.6 Update has been extended for quite a long duration, and if they want to stick to their schedule and not hamper their roadmap, a shorter update makes much more sense.

The extension of the 2.6 Update has had a number of consequences. The updates are planned in a systematic manner, with certain events and festivals taking place at certain times of the year. Due to the delay, the entire schedule has got hampered. Not to forget, miHoYo is gearing up for the launch of the Sumeru region as well. It might be that miHoYo is planning to release Sumeru at a particular time, which might be during the anniversary celebrations, and if the update isn’t shortened this could get disrupted.
Shortening the update shouldn’t be that hard, given the fact that each of these updates have a lot of content which is mostly fluff. If the developers decide to omit that, the update should get significantly smaller. The livestream is already suggested to come sometime next week, so it shouldn’t be surprising to see a smaller 2.7 update.
