NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Postseason Poll
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Four Mid-South Conference teams are mentioned in the NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Postseason Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday.
Lindsey Wilson is the highest-rated team from the MSC in the poll at No. 6. The Blue Raiders earned 308 points in the poll. Lindsey Wilson went 39-11 this season while capturing a share of the MSC regular season championship with Campbellsville and qualifying for the NAIA Opening Round.
Campbellsville is slotted 16th in the poll with 204 points. The Tigers were 41-13 while capturing a share of the MSC tournament championship and making it to the Opening Round of the NAIA Tournament.
Freed-Hardeman is the last conference team to be ranked in the poll. The Lions come in at No. 25 and earned 105 points. Freed-Hardeman posted a record of 41-13 and made an appearance in the NAIA Opening Round.
Cumberlands is mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll with four points. The Patriots were 41-16 this season.
National champion Southern Oregon sits atop the poll with 405 points and all 15 first-place votes. National runner-up Oregon Tech is second with 392 points while College of Idaho is slotted third with 374 points.
Ottawa and Olivet Nazarene round out the top five with 337 and 318 points, respectively.
