NAIA Football FirstDown PlayBook Top 25 Preseason Poll
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Four Mid-South Conference teams are mentioned in the NAIA Football FirstDown PlayBook Top 25 Preseason Poll, the NAIA announced on Monday.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) is the highest-rated conference team in the poll at No. 4. The Blue Raiders earned 373 points in the poll. Last season, Lindsey Wilson won the MSC Bluegrass Division and went 12-1 while reaching the NAIA FCS Semifinals.
Georgetown (Ky.) begins the 2022 season ranked No. 15. The Tigers garnered 199 points in the poll and went 8-2 in 2021.
Faulkner (Ala.) is the last Mid-South team ranked in the poll. The Eagles received 43 points and are slotted 23rd. Faulkner went 8-2 last season.
Bethel (Tenn.) is in the receiving votes section of the poll with three points. The Wildcats went 7-4 in 2021.
Reigning National Champions Morningside (Iowa) sits atop the poll with 418 points and all 18 first-place votes. Grand View (Iowa) is second with 402 points followed by Northwestern (Iowa) with 377 points. Marian (Ind.) rounds out the top five with 356 points.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
The first regular season poll is scheduled to come out on Monday, September 5.
