These Light Sabers have since then disappeared as the seasons went on and new chapters have arrived. But it seems like Fortnite is still not done and there might be a chance that the game will bring back the Light Sabers for the players to battle it out Star Wars style.
This information comes from a leak by renowned Fortnite leaker, ShiinaBR. With Star Wars day approaching close, May the 4th, as in ‘May the Force be with you’, Fortnite is planning to commemorate the special day by bringing back Light Sabers to the game. According to her post, Light Sabers are scheduled to return to the game tomorrow, which is May 4, 2022.
In her post, she mentions about the datamined information she has found, which states that a new playlist has just been added to Epic’s API and it has the words ‘Elegant Weapons’ in the codename. The reveal of this new information and with the Star Wars day being just around the corner, has lead the fans to believe that Light Sabers are truly coming back to Fortnite.

Another leak that suggests the return of Star Wars to Fortnite is imminent, comes from another popular source for Fortnite leaks, FNAssist. In their recent post, the user has mentioned that Fortnite is about to introduce a new tournament, with the title, ‘Star Wars Lighting Cup’. The tournament will take place in Duos format and is scheduled to be announced on May 3, 2022. The leak also consists of the statement, “This weapon is your life. This Lightning Cup will feature a special, adjusted loot pool”.
