Final Fantasy 16: Even Weirder Science Walkthrough

Final Fantasy 16 takes many steps in a different direction than its predecessors, focusing more on a linear story than an open-world RPG. While there is still so much to see and do, exploration is often limited, and the world is split up into different regions.

There are many side quests you’ll unlock throughout the game, with some offering additional XP and AP, while others give much more substantial rewards. The Weird Science quests will upgrade Clive’s inventory, allowing you to carry more consumables at a time and not use them whenever you find more than the base amount.

Beginning Even Weirder Science

This quest will become available for players after they have begun the main mission, “Across The Narrow,” and after completing the first Weird Science quest. Owain will request Clive’s help again, this time retrieving materials from Fallen creatures to create a smelter for the hideout. After beginning this quest, three locations will be marked on the main map.

Each Spherical Echo Location

The first spherical Echo is located in Lostplume. Travel to the Hawk’s Cry Cliff obelisk in Rosaria, and begin heading north. You’ll pass through the small village again, now overrun by Akashic villagers and monsters. Continue north until you see a fork in the road past a few Fallen constructs. Take the left path until you see a Woken Guardian, defeating it to retrieve the Echo.

The next Spherical Echo will be located in the Advent area. Travel to Northreach in The Holy Empire of Sanbreque and make your way southwest through Claireview. There will be a small forest that is initially not clear on the map, with a few smaller Fallen constructs near a clearing. The next Spherical Echo will be near the back base of the hill where the Fallen spawned.

The final Echo will be in the Silent Sough. Travel to the Krozjit Echos obelisk in The Dhalmekian Republic. Make your way south through the echos until you are walking on the Fallen airship. There will be a few Fallen constructs to fight, with the Echo appearing near the cliff’s edge after they are eliminated.

After obtaining all three Spherical Echos, return to Owain at the hideout and complete the side quest. He will give you the final inventory upgrade, a goblin coin, 4,800 XP, and 50 Renown.
