It has become common knowledge that FIFA 23 is the last title that will come out of the partnership between EA and FIFA. Post FIFA 23, all the football simulation titles will be named as EA Sports FC, even though contracts with many of the clubs and stadiums will remain intact.
Which begs the question, what FIFA will do the gaming sector in their post-EA era. It was reported earlier that FIFA will be working on Web3 games which will utilize blockchain technology. 4 titles were announced including AI League, Uplandme, Matchday and Phygti.
Out of these titles, only AI League has dropped to kickstart FIFA’s post-EA era. AI League is a 4v4 casual football title, with the game’s beta currently live on Android Play Store. An iOS variant will arrive next. AI League is developed by Altered State Machine, and it has been branded with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
