FIFA 23 Online Career Mode Has Been Reportedly Delayed to Next Year’s Entry

According to a leaker, FIFA 23 will not be getting an Online Career Mode despite receiving more new features for the offline version.

We are almost at the time of the year that Electronic Arts usually reveals the next iteration of its highly popular FIFA series. However, this time around, it is going to be the last game in the franchise to be called FIFA.

As you may already know, the deal between FIFA and EA is expiring next year, and the publisher has already revealed that its franchise is going to be rebranded as EA Sports FC from next year.

While the expectations for FIFA 23 are already high due to featuring a World Cup mode corresponding with the real-world Qatar 2022 World Cup tournament, it seems like EA Sports is holding off some of the big new features and changes for EA Sports FC 24!

Leaker Claims FIFA 23 Will Include New Career Features But Online Career Is In Development for EA Sports FC

FUTZone, a Twitter account mostly known for its Ultimate Team leaks, recently shared some information about the upcoming features in FIFA 23.

The leaker claims that the Career mode in FIFA 23 will feature some new managing mechanics like talking to the players before the match and during half-time as well as some new negotiation and transfer interactive cut-scenes. Also, the source believes that the Youth Academy will receive new updates and improvements in FIFA 23.

Despite these new features, the source claims that EA Sports is pushing the launch of Online Career Mode to the next iteration in the series, which would be EA Sports FC 24, or whatever that it would be called.

The reason for this is believed to be the heavy load of work required by this new mode as well as boasting such a big feature for the franchise after rebranding.

Of course, we suggest you keep taking the rumors with a grain of salt, but an imminent announcement from EA could definitely shed some light on what’s ahead for the franchise.
