Far Cry 5: All Wolf Beacon Locations

Quick Links

In the topmost region of Far Cry 5’s map, you will find the Whitetail Mountains. This area is controlled by Jacob Seed, who has placed 10 Wolf Beacons at the base of several radio towers, and it’s up to you to seek out these towers and destroy the Beacons.

When it comes to collectibles in Far Cry 5, 10 Wolf Beacons are certainly on the lower end of the scale. However, there’s a much more frustrating element that can screw you over if you don’t do something first. These Beacons are related to a series of side quests, and if you don’t start them, you can risk causing a well-known glitch.

Radio Silence

Far Cry 5 Radio Silence Quest Description

After you gain a few Resistance points, not even enough for the first tier, John will decide it’s time to hunt you down and try to break you. Allow this to happen and beat his challenge, and you will wake up in a location called the Wolf’s Den. Before you leave the Den to continue playing, speak with Tammy, who will have a story icon above her head. She’ll start a quest for you called Radio Silence, where you’re tasked with destroying a few radio jammers both already on the antenna and traveling in trucks on their way to an antenna.

This story mission will sound like it has nothing to do with the Wolf Beacons, but this quest is necessary for Tammy to later give you the quests involving the Beacons; Call Of The Wild. If you skip this for later, players have reported a glitch where the counter will be incorrect. The only reason you’d want every Beacon is for the full credit, so make sure you, or your co-op partner if you have one, don’t destroy any of the Wolf Beacons until you complete Radio Silence. You risk glitching out the counter and needing to start from a new game save, although thankfully new game plus will also work without you losing your experience level.

Call Of The Wild Wolf Beacons

Another reason you’ll want to start Call Of The Wild is that Tammy will give you quest markers for up to 4 Wolf Beacons after you destroy your first one. This is a 2-part quest, but you’ll only get markers for the first set. After you destroy these 4 Beacons, Tammy will ask you to clean up the rest of them but will not give you any more markers. If the Beacon you destroyed first was not one of the ones Tammy can mark for you, then your counter on the second half of the quest will start at 1 out of 6.

Remaining Beacons

These are the Wolf Beacons remaining for Jacob’s Region. Pick 1 of them to destroy before you go after the ones Tammy will mark for you, and then save the remaining 5 for afterward. The beacons will be on the ground in front of the antennas typically, and a well-placed spray of rockets from a helicopter will wipe out the beacon as well as all surrounding enemies. There is a helipad at the Wolf’s Den, meaning clean-up will be easy as long as you did all the prior set-up.
