Following a cameo appearance from John Krasinski as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans have been waiting to hear if the actor will return to reprise his role in the upcoming film.

While Krasinski’s name has been flouted in the list of actors that will play the smartest man in the Marvel universe, a star from the world of Netflix has also been mentioned as well.

According to new reports, You actor Penn Badgley might be the next live-action Reed Richards. Fans might want to take this rumor with a grain of salt. However, in the most recent episode of the Marvelvision Podcast, Badgley’s name was thrown in the mix of actors Marvel might be looking to cast for the iconic character.

While Marvel can definitely tweak with the character by selecting a POC actor to play the role, it seems like the studio has stuck with its guns by going for a more classical white actor to portray both Reed Richards and Doctor Doom.

It’s unclear whether the casting for the film has been finalized, as fans eagerly wait for the D23 Expo to hear more about the project. With director Matt Shakman recently linked with the film, it will be interesting to see if Marvel Studios can quickly finalize the cast and crew for the long-awaited Fantastic Four movie.
