Everything New in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4

Fortnite’s latest seasonal update, Chapter 3 Season 4 has arrived and it has been dubbed as ‘Paradise’. In the new season, Chrome is running rampant and is slowly taking over Fortnite island and it is upto the players to save the day. Players will have to embrace Chrome and use it to their advantage to take down the approaching enemy. Along with Chrome, there are new weapons, POIs and other features that players should check out.

Chrome

Chrome Splash

As we all know, Chrome is the next big thing in Fortnite, therefore it will be used everywhere possible. The first thing that players will learn is that they can phase through falls now, no matter what the structure is made from, players can just throw the new Chrome Splash throwable and every single wall will become penetrable for them.

Chromeify

Players can also use the Chrome Splash on themselves which will help them be Chromeified. This will turn the player into pure Chrome for a limited time, this will make them immune to fire damage, become a blob when sprinting, move faster, immune to fall damage and gain the air dash ability. A brand new Chrome POI has also been introduced called the ‘Herald’s Sanctum’.

Chrome Weapons

The introduction of Chrome has now given birth to Chrome based weapons, the new weapons are EvoChrome Shotgun and EvoChrome Burst Rifle. These weapons can be found by opening Chrome Chests. The unique point for these weapons is that their rarity is upgraded according to the damage dealt by players to others, these weapons can go from uncommon to Mythic just by taking other players down. Sniper Upgrade

Snipers have been upgraded in the game as their damage and headshot multipliers have increased. Pro players will be in love with this upgrade as now they might just need a single shot to send their enemy packing. This enhancement will also work in the newly introduced Zero Build Mode. • Hunting Rifle – damage and headshot multiplier increased
• Automatic Sniper Rifle – damage and headshot multiplier increased
• Lever Action Rifle – damage and headshot multiplier increased

• Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle – damage increased
• Rail Gun – damage increased
• Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle – damage increased
• Heavy Sniper Rifle – headshot multiplier increased
• Storm Scout Sniper Rifle – headshot multiplier increased
• Boom Sniper Rifle – explosive damage increased

Keys and Vaults

Keys have been introduced to Fortnite Island, along with Vaults. Players will find these keys across the map and can use them to open Vaults that contain valuable loot. Vaults will need keys according to their security. Low security ones need one key, whereas the high security ones would need 3 to unlock. As soon as the players collect a key, keyhole signs will appear on the map, depicting the location of the vault.

Bunkers

A new defence mechanism has also been introduced to the game. When players feel that they are surrounded by enemies and have nowhere to go, they can deploy a Port-A-Bunker which will instantly form a 1×1 structure with reinforced metal walls, a versatile ramp, doors, and defensive tires to bounce away the enemies.

Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass

Of course a new season means a fresh battle pass for the players to work on. This time around, the players will immediately unlock Paradigm (Reality-659) when they purchase the Battle Pass. Along with that, players can work towards unlocking the newly introduced Spider-Gwen skin. The Herald will be available to unlock later during the season, for now players can work towards unlocking the following characters:

• Bytes
• Grriz
• Meow Skulls
• Lennox Rose
• Twyn

Restricted Hardware

In the latest season Fortnite will be implementing a new feature that will work against cheaters. Players that use devices which provide or are intended to provide competitive advantages, will be served with an in-game warning. If the players wish to continue, they will have to remove the said hardware and restart the game. If the players try to bypass this restriction, they will be served with a permanent ban. Restricted devices include but are not limited to Cronus Zen and Cronus Max.
