Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle Expansion Released On Consoles

The Elder Scrolls Online’s most recent expansion High Isle is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. 

The MMORPG Elder Scrolls Online has been going strong since its release in 2014, with numerous expansion packs being added over the years. The most recent expansion pack is High Isle, originally released back in April on PC, it is now available across all platforms following the recent announcement about release times. 

High Isle takes the player to the home of the Bretons, the half-breed descendants of men and elves. Specifically to the titular High Isle, one of four islands in the Systres Archipelago, the Westernmost part of Tamriel. The focus of the new expansion is political intrigue. 

The premise for bringing the player to High Isle is that alliance delegates are meeting on the island to hold peace talks to end the ongoing Three Banners War. However, a shadowy organisation known as The Ascendant Order is working in the background to disrupt these talks. 

According to Zenimax, the design of the Systres Archipelago takes inspiration from the real-world Mediterranean region. Society is feudalistic on High Isle, the nobility languishes in the city of Gonfalon Bay where political ruthlessness is a trait valued above all others. 

Companions were added to Elder Scrolls Online last year and High Isle brings with it two new companions that can accompany the player. These are the Khajit Ember who grew up homeless and developed a talent for magic and also the Breton Isobel, an aspiring knight who wants to do good in the world. 

A new in-game playable card game called “Tales of Tribute” has also been added, complete with its own levelling system. This game will come into play in certain quests as the player will be prompted to compete against various NPCs.

Elder Scrolls Online receives a lot of additional content. High Isle is the 25th expansion pack for the MMORPG, and the sixth of the larger expansions (called chapters) after Morrowind, Summerset, Greymoor and Blackwood.
