On Wednesday late night, veteran actor Dharmendra was in a nostalgic mood. He shared an old video of his song ‘Main Nigahen Tere Chehre Se Hatau Kaise’ from the movie Aap Ki Parchhaiyan (1964). It is sung by Raja Mehndi Ali Khan and composed by Madan Mohan. As the actor shared the black-and-white clip of the song, he shared with his fans that he thinks the otherwise ‘well-composed’ song has just one drawback and that is its poor editing. The actor wrote, “Nalini ji, you are blessed… your loving kids know what is good for them… Thanks, for this clip. A well-written song by Raja Mehndi Ali Khan and very well-composed by Madan Mohan… but badly edited. Being a newcomer, I tried to justify…”

Dharmendra posted the music video past midnight and one of his fan was quick to remind the actor that ‘staying up late isn’t good for health’. A Twitter user named Akshay reacted to the late night post and wrote, “Itni raat ko jaagna sehat ke liye theek nahi hai sir (Sir, Staying up so late is not good for health).”
Sensing genuine concern, Dharmendra chose to reply to the tweet, and that definitely made Akshay’s day! The superstar was witty and his word choice poetic. Sharing that his sleep is often elusive, Dharmendra told Akshay, “Neend ke bhi….apne hi nakhare hote hain. Akshay, kabhi kabhi bardasht karne padte hai….. ab so jaoonga. (Sleep has its own tantrums. Akshay, at times we have to bear those. I will go to sleep now).”

In the same thread, Dharmendra lovingly blessed another fan who goes by the username Suraj Stormy when the latter posted a ‘good night sweet dream’ for ‘Dharam Sir’. Dharmendra responded, “Jeet’e’ raho Suraj.”
Jeet raho ???? Suraj .
