There is a new The International champion, and it’s none other than Tundra Esports.
The 2022 edition of the prestigious Dota 2 tournament saw the London-based organization lift up the Aegis of Champions following a dominant performance against Team Secret in the Grand Finals yesterday.
Tundra came into the final as the overwhelming favorites against the underdogs, Team Secret, and that wasn’t questioned at any moment during the match, as the former dismantled its opposition with a 3-0 victory.
As the winners of The International, Tundra Esports now holds the deserved title of the best Dota 2 team in the world, while also earning a major payday of around $8.5 million.
Tundra Esports are your #TI11 Champions! ???? Congratulations to skiter, Nine, 33, Saksa, and Sneyking – dropping just one game during the entire Main Stage and taking the Grand Finals 3-0, they emerge victorious on their quest for the Aegis. pic.twitter.com/R1bhFziPq2

The International saw a massive drop in its prize pool from the previous edition, which totaled around $40 million. TI11’s prize pool amounted to just around $18 million, and that wasn’t the only major dip, as fans complained about the several issues they faced while watching the streams of the matches.
Well #TI11 is over. GGWP to all the teams. And congrats to Tundra. I think we all would love a 5 games grandfinals, but it is what it is. And I must say the production killed it for me. Constant lags, stream died at all important moment and delays after it restarted.

From streams dying to framerate issues, the 11th iteration of the popular Dota 2 tournament seems to have left a bad taste in the mouth of fans, who may have joined in to watch their favorite teams and players.
