Disney’s Live-Action Lilo & Stitch Movie Casts Its Lilo

Sources have confirmed that Disney has chosen newcomer Maia Kealoha to star as Lilo in its upcoming live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch.

As reported by Knight Edge Media and THR, Kealoha will be joining a cast that also features Zach Galifianakis, who has yet to have his role officially revealed.

Kealoha doesn’t have any big acting credits to her name as of yet, but she has participated in multiple Little Miss Kona Coffee pageants, and you can see her in one below.

Not much else is known about the Lilo & Stitch remake, which will bring the 2002 animated classic to life in a new way, but we do know that Marcel the Shell With Shoes On’s Dean Fleischer Camp will be directing the film that was previously said to premiere on Disney+.

Filming for the live-action version of Lilo & Stitch was originally planned to begin in 2020, but delays pushed it back.

While it may be some time until we see Kealoha in Lilo & Stitch, fans won’t have to long to wait to see two of Disney’s live-action projects, as Peter Pan & Wendy will fly to Disney+ on April 28 and The Little Mermaid will swim to theaters on May 26.
