Differently-abled fan cheers for Babar Azam, Pakistan captain’s reply wins hearts on social media

A differently-abled fan from England recorded a special video message on social media for Babar Azam and his Pakistan Super League team Karachi Kings.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam is winning hearts on social media after he interacted with a differently-abled fan on Twitter. Muhammad Akhil, who lives in England, cheered for Babar Azam and also revealed that he is a big fan of his Pakistan Super League team Karachi Kings.

“Assalamu Alaikum. I am Muhammad Akhil. Welcome to England. I always support you and I’m a big supporter of Karachi Kings (the Pakistan Super League franchise Azam plays for).

“May Allah give you lots of success,” the young fan said in a video message.

Babar Azam promptly replied back with: “Thank you for a warm welcome and wonderful wishes, you little champ. May Allah always keep you blessed. Lots of love.”

Karachi Kings managed to reach the PSL 6 knockouts but they crashed out after losing by 5 wickets against Peshawar Zalmi, who lost in the final against eventual champions Multan Sultans.

PSL’s latest edition had started in Pakistan but was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament resumed in the United Arab Emirates last month.
