“Dare to look fanged destruction in the face and send it back to Hell with a new Season Journey, Questline, Season Event, deadly blood-driven enemies, Battle Pass, and more,” reads the official description.
“Plus, new Uber Endgame bosses have arrived in Sanctuary to increase the variety of endgame activities in Diablo IV. These havoc-wreaking bosses are hard to topple but can drop Unique items and Cosmetics found nowhere else.”
Unlike the previous season, Blizzard will also give players the option to skip the campaign and go straight to the Season of Blood content.
According to Blizzard, players must complete the Missing Pieces quest from the Prologue on the Seasonal Realm, before being given the option to skip the campaign.

The new Questline revolves around a vampire invasion in the town of Ked Bardu. After speaking to Oren, players must recruit a skillful vampire hunter named Erys to defeat the Dark Master responsible for the outbreak.
“Your monstrous new adversaries are not a typical demonic disturbance and require you to harness their Vampiric Powers with the aid of new Pact Armor,” Blizzard explains.
“You must unleash your newfound power on its originators in a most ruthless display to put them to rest. Only then may Sanctuary be truly safe for a spell.”
Vampire powers include the ability to form a pool of blood beneath enemies, which causes your channeled skills to deal 40% extra damage. Then there’s the ability to call a bat to aid you in battle, as well as the option to disappear into a cloud of bats to avoid monsters.
Players will be able to use their new powers to fight powerful endgame bosses that each drop unique and exclusive rewards. You will, however, need to meet certain criteria and complete objectives in order to battle the bosses.
In order to battel Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint, players will need to gather enough Living Steel from the Tortured Offering in Helltide.
The Beast in the Ice, meanwhile, requires players to gather Distilled Fear while completing Tier 30 or higher Nightmare Dungeons.
“After you have enough, visit the Occultist and craft the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil, activate it, then you can fight The Beast in the Ice,” Blizzard adds.
Finally, the Dark Master requires players to defeat a World Boss on World Tier IV or complete a Legion Event. Completing these activities unlocks Exquisite Blood, which can be used to summon the Dark Master.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a new season without the launch of a new Battle Pass, which contains a whole host of free and Premium rewards.
According to Blizzard, the Season Journey is broken into Chapters, each with their own tasks to complete and rewards to unlock.
Rewards include new Legendary Aspects, the Salmagundi mount, Strips and Points mount armor, and 3 Scrolls of Amnesia, which provide a free Skill Tree and Paragon Board reset.
The Journey also provides Favor—the resource used to climb through the Battle Pass’ Tiers—which can also be earned naturally by playing aspects of the game.
