Destiny 2 Vow of the Disciple Day 1 Race Winner Suspects DDoS Attack on Stream After the Raid

The Vow of the Disciple Raid has dropped for Destiny 2 with one of the hotly contested races for players to gain the title of World First.

Following hours of grueling battle, Bungie finally crowned a winner in Clan Elysium, which featured Guardians like Cruz, Kyros, Moople, Quazz, Slap and Saltagreppo after they completed the Raid first.

As part of their rewards, the fireteam received the grand prize of the World First belts, and applause from the community for their almost 8 hour effort to finish the Vow of the Disciple raid first. However, the day ended on a sour note for one of the winners, which seems to have been caused by a DDoS attack against him.

Following Clan Elysium’s emphatic victory, Saltagreppo shared a rather distressing tweet, which saw him detailing the poor internet connectivity problems he had to face, few hours after completing the Raid.

He stated that his internet had mysteriously been cut off for 30 minutes, and for most of the day, he had bad ping issues, which caused him to suspect a possible DDoS attack against him. The popular player further mentioned how he was disappointed that his day of triumph had been marred by these issues.

However, in the end, he didn’t let these problems cause a lot of trouble as he celebrated his hours of preparation and game planning for the World First victory with both his fireteam, and the members of the Destiny 2 community.
