Marvel’s next major movie project in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be one of MCU’s biggest as it expands on the concept of multiple universes.
The blockbuster movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular character is rumored to include a ton of live action adaptations of popular comic book characters who appeared in non-MCU movies, which makes this project a cameo fest.
While some fans are oblivious about this matter, Deadpool creator and legendary comic book artist Rob Liefeld confirmed that Marvel’s adding a ton of cameos to the Doctor Strange sequel.
During a recent episode on The Big Things podcast with Kristian Harloff, when asked about the upcoming MCU project and its cameos, Liefeld noted that Marvel is currently testing them out by showcasing the movie to people in private screenings .
“Have either of you been caught trying to sneak into a screening of Doctor Strange 2? They are testing the s*** out of this movie.”
However, Liefeld also lamented the fact that these private test screenings has lead to a lot of leaks about the movie, which could ruin the enjoyment for many.
“They’re testing it. It’s all getting out. We’re all guilty of hitting those hashtags, there’s always that one guy.”
However, in the end Liefeld is excited about the prospects of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ cameo roster, and according to fans like him, they want everything.
“Bring it all in. We want that.”
When asked about who he wants to see in the movie, Rob Liefeld had a straightforward answer as he would love to see his own creation in Deadpool, who’s played by Ryan Reynolds to enter the MCU.
“Well, is there a better time to promote Deadpool than this movie?”
In the end, it seems like MCU will be full of cameos when Sam Raimi’s upcoming project releases later this year, and MCU fans like Rob Liefeld are quite ecstatic about the characters Marvel has in store for them.
