Deadpool 3: Domino Actress Zazie Beetz Says She Isn’t Returning

Domino actress Zazie Beetz has revealed she won’t be back in Deadpool 3.

During an interview with Decider, the Deadpool 2 star was asked how the upcoming Deadpool sequel would handle improvisation, especially as the ongoing writers’ strike could keep Ryan Reynolds from doing his famous ad-libbing.

“Well, I’m actually not in Deadpool 3, so I don’t know what they’re doing [about improvisation],” she said. “I’m assuming they’re probably taking a pause… I’m excited to watch it.”

Deadpool 3 began filming just last month, despite ongoing industrial action with the WGA strike affecting productions across film and television.

Although Zazie Beetz is out, it looks as though some of Deadpool’s previous cast members will be back, notably Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsun as her girlfriend, Yukio, and Stefan Kapicic as Colossus.

Morena Baccarin will also reprise her role as Vanessa, with Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams returning as Dopinder and Blind Al. Hilariously, even Rob Delaney will be back as Peter – the ordinary human man who joined X-Force in the Deadpool sequel… and who was thought to be dead after their first mission went a bit wrong.

Of course, the big casting news that’s had everyone talking is the addition of Hugh Jackman, who will reprise his iconic role as Wolverine. Quite how Wolverine fits into the film remains to be seen, but it seems he won’t exactly be the Wolverine we know and love.

IGN’s review of Deadpool 2 gave it 7.8/10 and said: “Although it runs short on plot, Deadpool 2 delivers a sequel that’s crasser, gorier, and funnier than its predecessor.”
