If there’s one group of people that are happy today, it’s probably the Cyberpunk 2077 community.
After over a year of sadness caused by the failed launch of the CD Projekt RED title, the community finally received some hope and light, following the developer stream yesterday which saw the launch of Patch 1.5.
Cyberpunk 2077’s game-changing Patch 1.5 saw the addition of long-awaited next-gen upgrades for Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
Other than the myriad of improvements for the current gen variant, players were also quite chuffed about the many fixes to bugs that have plagued the game since its release.
While the game still has its issues like stuttering on last generation consoles. the community is quite hopeful after CD Projekt RED fixed up many of Cyberpunk 2077’s problems.
Some of the many fixes include the addition of appearance customization that players appreciate a lot, as they can now change the looks of V by standing in front of the mirror.
Plus, the loot system has also taken a turn for the better, with players not having to worry about constantly looking through junk for better rewards.
Other than that, the game also fixed up many of its gameplay issues such as driving and visual problems such as the sunflare bug, which has been present since the beginning.
Additionally, the police and the NPC in Cybperpunk 2077 are more active as well, and it seems like the vision that the developers in CD Projekt RED had, are finally coming to fruition.
The patch showcased a ton of fixes, and fans believed that they would have been satisfied with a game like this during launch. Instead, CD Projekt RED messed up big time with the release, as the game was unplayable on almost all consoles and PC.
However, following a year of fixes and patches, the future is bright, and according to many fans, this might be the start of a fun couple of years, where hopefully the developers release future DLCs with content and not just fixes for the problems the game has.
