A brand-new Tomb Raider title is currently being developed by Crystal Dynamics in partnership with Amazon Games. Crystal Dynamics is also working on a Perfect Dark reboot in tandem with The Initiative. The reboot will see the Perfect Dark series remade from scratch.
Through a recent post on popular subreddit, r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, we have received some important information about both these titles.
Through a recent post on ResetEra, we have learned that the Perfect Dark reboot may have “hit a roadbump or two. On the other hand, the development for Tomb Raider is “full steam ahead”. Moreover, the leaker has stated that players will see Tomb Raider arrive earlier than Perfect Dark. Through a separate post on the same thread, Miller also stated that players can expect at least a year between the release of these two titles.
Crystal Dynamics Ends Support for Marvel’s Avengers
On the topic of Crystal Dynamics, one of the studio’s major titles will have its end in the near future. The title in question is none other than Marvel’s Avengers, which released around two and a half years ago.
Through a new blog post, we have learned that the last content update for Marvel’s Avengers will arrive on March 31, 2023. Moreover, official support for the title will cease to exist on September 30, 2022.
This does not mean that players will not be able to play the game anymore once support ends, as they can continue both single player and multiplayer adventures.
However, the marketplace will be shut down, so players will not be able to purchase anymore cosmetics. All the remaining credit balances of players will be switched with in-game resources. As their last goodbye and token of appreciation, following the update on March 31, 2023, the title’s “Marketplace, Challenge Card, and Shipment cosmetic content available to all players for free.”
