Counter-Strike 2 Receives Its First Update With Bug Fixes as CS:GO Breaks Concurrent Players Record

Valve officially unveiled Counter-Strike 2 last week to a ton of fanfare, with many players even receiving access to try it out prior to its Summer 2023 launch.

The Limited Test has allowed players to check out some of the game’s features and offer feedback to developers. Along with that, the devs also have an opportunity to weed out any major bugs, as the game inches closer to its full launch later this year.

As part of improving the experience, the developers at Valve have released the first update for the game. The update features fixes for many of the game’s biggest issues that fans have identified during the Limited Test. This includes game crashes, UI, audio, and graphics fixes.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive breaks concurrent players record

With Counter-Strike 2 on the horizon, interest in the popular Valve shooter franchise has suddenly increased, with many players now enjoying CS:GO.

According to SteamDB, the interest has been so positive that CS:GO has now broken its concurrent players record. The iconic shooter title broke the 1.5 million mark, with a 24-hour peak of 1,519,457 players.
