Control is FREE on Epic Games Store: Last chance warning to download your latest freebie

If you’ve got an Epic Games Store account, then you can download another free PC game.

As part of Epic’s 12 games of Christmas campaign, Control is available to download for free.

If you’ve got an Epic Games account, simply login, visit the PC store and claim your free game.

One of the biggest and best games to feature so far, Control is only available as a free download for 24-hours, so you’ll need to act fast in order to claim your free download.

Control will be replaced by another free game at 4pm GMT on December 27.

Based on the latest clues, it looks like Mages of Mystralia may be the next game to join the line-up.

Control, meanwhile, is a third-person shooter developed by the team behind the excellent Alan Wake.

“After a secretive agency in New York is invaded by an otherworldly threat, you become the new Director struggling to regain Control,” reads the official blurb.

“From developer Remedy Entertainment, this supernatural 3rd person action-adventure will challenge you to master the combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts and reactive environments while fighting through a deep and unpredictable world.

“Control is Jesse Faden’s story and her personal search for answers as she grows into the role of the Director.

“The world of Control has its own story, as do the allies Jesse meets along the way. Jesse works with other Bureau agents and discovers strange experiments and secrets.”

If you enjoy the base game, you can pick up the season pass for just £4.79 in the Epic sale.

The free game giveaway is accompanied by an extensive Christmas sale, featuring discounts on dozens of games.

Furthermore, Epic Games is giving all customers a £10 voucher, which can be used on any game costing £13.99 or more.

Using the voucher on games in the Christmas sale means you can pick up the likes of Back 4 Blood for just £19.99.

Battlefield 2042 is down to £32.99 in the sale, or £22.99 if you also use the voucher.

You can get Alan Wake Remastered for just £9.99 with the voucher, or Disco Elysium for only £5.74.

The £10 vouchers expire on January 6, so be sure to spend yours before time runs out.
