Concord Music Publishing acquires catalog of Country singer-songwriter Andy Albert – Music Business Worldwide

Concord Music Publishing has acquired the catalog of, and a signed a deal with, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Andy Albert.

The worldwide publishing deal, effective immediately, will cover Albert’s full acquired catalog and future works.

Andy Albert has recently scored a No.1 song on Country radio, with Thinking ‘Bout You, performed by Dustin Lynch, featuring Mackenzie Porter.

This is the second consecutive week that the track reached the top spot on Billboard Country Airplay.

Additionally, Thinking ‘Bout You peaked at No.3 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs and No.30 on the Hot 100 chart.

This is Albert’s second No.1 radio single with Dustin Lynch, as he also co-wrote the 2020 Platinum hit Good Girl.

Albert, originally from Roswell Georgia, moved to Nashville in 2011 to be a part of the band Bonaventure, alongside Dan Smyers of Dan + Shay.

Albert joins Concord from Downtown Music, where he signed his first publishing deal in 2014. During his time at Downtown, he landed cuts with artists such as Blake Shelton, Granger Smith, and Dustin Lynch.

Andy Albert has written for and has had numerous cuts with top artists including Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, HARDY, Chris Lane, Ryan Hurd, LANY and more. His catalog also includes several chart-topping hits including Blake Shelton’s She’s Got A Way With Words, Granger Smith’s If The Boot Fits and Happens Like That, HARDY’s Rednecker, Nick Fradiani’s All On You and Mitchell Tenpenny’s Anything She Says (featuring Seaforth).

Over the years, Albert has also continued to work with Dan + Shay. Most recently he co-wrote four tracks off their fourth studio album Good Things, including Lying, One Direction, Let Me Get Over Her, and their latest single Steal My Love, which is currently charting in the Top 40 on Country radio.

The twofold agreement was negotiated on behalf of Concord by Duff Berschback, EVP of Legal and Business Affairs.
