CES 2023: JBL unveils the JBL Spinner BT, the brand’s first Bluetooth turntable | Digit

JBL announced its first Bluetooth turntable that comes with aptX HD wireless streaming during the CES 2023 event. It has orange accents on an all-black design along with an analog output. The product is known as the JBL Spinner BT. 

What is the JBL Spinner BT?

The JBL Spinner BT is a Bluetooth turntable that can stream vinyl records to other wireless soundbars, speakers, and headphones with 24-bit hi-res quality, as long as they are compatible. The turntable comes with a built-in switchable moving magnet photo stage that can be used with active speakers. It can also be used to feed into a traditional audio system along with an external photo preamp.

The turntable has a belt drive. It has an MDF plinth with damped feet that is claimed to lead to effective vibration modulation. It also has an aluminium platter. The forearm of the turntable is equipped with an audio technical moving magnet cartridge. The speed options are locked with a speed sensor so that the device delivers the right pitch that is needed. 

When will the JBL Spinner BT launch?

It is believed that the JBL Spinner BT will launch in Q3 2023. It may be priced at $399 (which is around ₹32,827.19, making it more affordable than the aptX HD-equipped turntables that are currently available in the market.
