CBSE schools plan practice tests for Class 12 board exams – Times of India

KOLKATA: Schools affiliated to CBSE have decided to hold another set of online practice tests for Class-XII candidates, especially after Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal made no announcement about cancellation of the boards following meeting with education secretaries of different states.

Though summer vacations have started, special schedule has been set for Class XII students to clear their doubts. After online classes begin post vacation, a test will be held.

Many schools said if the board did cancel the exam, this last test would help get better clarity on the candidates’ scores, which the authorities would be asked to draw up by the board. Most city schools have submitted the internal assessment marks to the board. All schools have also completed their pre-boards and additional mock tests.

Birla High School announced the Class-XII practice test would be held from May 24. “They need to stay in touch and another set of exams will help them brush up better,” said principal Loveleen Saigal. Throughout the summer break, online doubt-clearing sessions have been arranged for Lakshmipat Singhania Academy students. After summer holiday, the school might arrange for online exams. “This is to give the students writing practice. We have to continue with hand-holding till the board takes a final call,” said director Meena Kak. Asian International School principal Vijaylakshmi Kumar said, “If the board announces the exams will finally be held, we will hold another set of practice exams,” she said.
