Call of Duty: The Next Flagship Title May Just Be Modern Warfare 3, Warzone Map Details Also Out

It appears that the next Call of Duty title could indeed be Modern Warfare.

Twitter user @algebra_sloth posted pictures of a Monster Energy drink advertisement featuring “Call of Duty Modern Warfare III” that they came across. Although the tweet has been removed, the official Call of Duty account has since posted tweets mentioning energy drinks and reasons to play the game. These tweets may be references to the removed Modern Energy drink ad-posters.

New Warzone map for Modern Warfare 3 has slide cancelling

Additionally, Call of Duty League’s (CDL) Toronto Ultra’s content creator, Metaphor, posted a tweet on July 25th, announcing the arrival of a new Warzone map with Modern Warfare 3. He also mentioned that slide cancelling can be done in the current build of Modern Warfare 3’s Warzone map, stating that it “looks amazing, with slide cancelling in the current build.”

Slide-cancelling is a technique used to counter the speed loss that occurs when players slide in the game. By mastering this technique, players can achieve better aiming. Slide cancelling was commonly employed in previous Call of Duty games, including Modern Warfare 2, but was eventually removed. Metaphor believes that the new Warzone map featuring this technique will be a favourite among many players.

In other news, some Redditors are claiming that Fortune’s Keep, a Warzone map that was only available in the game for a few months, is the best map.
