Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Plans Reportedly Confirmed As Activision Issues DMCA Strikes

There has been a plethora of Call of Duty announcements as well as leaks in the past two days. Activision confirmed that the items, weapons, and progression from Modern Warfare 2 will carry over to the next Call of Duty game coming out this year. It has also been confirmed that Call of Duty 2023 will be unveiled in Warzone 2 Season 5 during an in-game event. Leaks suggest that Call of Duty will bring back classic maps from the past. The 2023 COD game is also expected to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as Activision decided to take down leaks which suggested the same.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Activision Blizzard requested a DMCA strike on a leak from BobNetworkUK that referenced “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.” There have been tweets carrying images of the upcoming game recently. It has been speculated that these leaks came out due to an internal test of the game. If the leaks are true, the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 will complete the trilogy of the new series.

Call of Duty 2023 reveal event in Warzone 2 Season 5

Activision Blizzard officially announced that Call of Duty 2023 will be revealed soon during an event in Warzone 2 Season 5. The next season of Call of Duty’s free-to-play title has been rumoured to release in August. However, there is no official release date from the publisher. The Call of Duty 2023 reveal is also expected to announce the release date as well.

The publisher made the announcement after it held a poll to ask fans if they would like operators, weapons, and bundles from Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 to carry over to the upcoming game. Since both options started with “yes,” it basically was an announcement about the upcoming game offering this feature to players.

A lot of speculation has been making the rounds on the internet about the next Call of Duty game. So far, only the reveal event and progression of MW2 items and weapons to the next game have been confirmed by Activision. Everything else surrounding the title is rumours and leaks, with no official confirmation yet.
