Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Becomes the Biggest CoD Release on Sony PlayStation Store; Here Is How to Get In-Game Collab Skins and More

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the biggest CoD launch on the PlayStation Store in history. After Modern Warfare 2 released on October 28, PlayStation revealed that the game has the biggest release on the platform.

This comes following Xbox’s Phil Spencer saying that the company will continue to ship Call of Duty games on PlayStation as long as there are PlayStation consoles – if Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard goes through. “We’re not taking Call of Duty from PlayStation. That’s not our intent,” he said. “Our intent is not to do that and as long as there’s a PlayStation out there to ship to, our intent is that we’ll continue to ship Call of Duty on PlayStation. Similar to what we’ve done with Minecraft since we owned that.”

The game is also Steam’s top seller as it was on the number one on the top 100 selling games right now by revenue.

How to get Modern Warfare 2 in-game collab skins

Modern Warfare 2 has collaborated with multiple real-life companies. After buying their products, you can avail the skin in the game.

The Burger King skin is available in some countries, and is selling for big bucks online, as it can be redeemed even in those countries where the promotion is not held. You can het the Burger Town skin by going to the fast food chain’s website or app and purchasing an item from the menu in the Call of Duty section. You can then input your email to get the code and can then log in to your Activision account to unlock the skin.

The Hungry Jacks can also be obtained in the same way, you just have to order the Deluxe Baconator meal or a Fried Chicken combo through the app. As for the Mountain Dew skin, you have to purchase the drink and find the code on the bottle. You can then redeem the code on the Mountain Dew website. Lastly, the Jack Links skin can be obtained by purchasing at least four packs of Jack Links products. The bags will contain the codes for the skin, which you can redeem on the Call of Duty website.

Modern Warfare 2 could get nine more game modes

Call of Duty leaker TheGhostofHope has reported that Modern Warfare 2 will get nine additional game modes soon. Here are the following modes that could make their way into the game:

• Reinforce
• Drop Zone
• Gun Game
• Infected
• Uplink
• Cranked
• Cyber Attack
• Team Defender
• Grind

Calling cards featuring soldiers fighting aliens were also spotted over on Reddit by a user, which could hint towards a possible Extinction mode coming to the game down the line.

In other news, OpTic Gaming’s Team Summertime found an exploit on the Breenbergh Hotel map.

Members Jorge, Hitch, and 6lake found that players can shoot through many of the walls in the hotel map. It is possible to take down opponents as the bullets go through some walls and hit the players easily.
