BTS’ Suga and Halsey have collaborated on a reworked version of the latter’s song Lilith for the release of Diablo IV. The song, now featuring Suga, has also received a music video. This collaboration served as a prelude to the release of Diablo IV, which has launched today on June 6.
Directed by Henry Hobson, the video was filmed in various locations, including the Chapelle des Jésuites in Cambrai, France. Blizzard Entertainment transformed the venue by adorning the ceiling with paintings and a 160-foot mural, all inspired by the world of Diablo IV.
“I’m thrilled that I got to collaborate with Suga of BTS on a reimagined version of ‘Lilith’ for the Diablo IV anthem! As a fan and collaborator, I have spent countless hours exploring the mythical realm of Sanctuary with my loved ones,” said Halsey. “The concept of delving into dark mythology with Suga has always been a dream of mine. I hope fans of Diablo, Suga, and myself will embrace the essence of Lilith.”
“Working with Halsey on a track for the Diablo universe has been an incredible joy,” said Suga. “I sincerely hope that the resonance of this track transcends borders, reaching listeners worldwide.”
The first 20 seconds of the music video made its debut during the grand Diablo IV launch event held at Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles on May 31. The event featured guests such as Gottmik from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Offset, Tinashe, David Harbour from Stranger Things, Khleo Thomas, and others.
IGN awarded Diablo IV a score of 9/10 in its review, calling it “a stunning sequel with near perfect endgame and progression design that makes it absolutely excruciating to put down.”
