BPSC 67th Prelims exam 2022 re-scheduled, to be held on May 8 – Times of India

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has once again re-scheduled the date of Examination of 67th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination to May 8, 2022.

The Bihar Public Service Commission, Patna has revised the date of the 67th Combined (Preliminary) Competition Examination due to difficulty in availability of accommodation in CBSE schools.

The BPSC 67th Combined Preliminary examination was scheduled to be held on May 7, 2022 but due to internal examination of Central Board of Secondary Education, the date has been revised to May 8, 2022. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held on April 30, 2022 but the date was clashing with the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya examination.

BPSC 67th Exam Pattern 2022

1) The Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination will be of General Studies subject, all the questions of which will be objective type multiple choice questions.
2) The duration of the examination will be of 2 hours and the total marks will be 150, candidates will require to select any one answer from the multiple choice answers.

3) The preliminary examination will be a screening test only, on the basis of which the candidates will be selected for the main examination.

4) The number of candidates to be shortlisted for the Main Examination will be 10 times the total notified vacancies.

5) All the candidates who get the category wise general cut off marks will be selected for the BPSC 67th main examination 2022.

6) In this preliminary examination, general science, contemporary events of national and international importance, history of India and major features of history of Bihar, general geography, major geographical and important rivers of Bihar, polity and economic system of India, after independence. There will be questions to test the major changes in the economy of Bihar, the national movement of India and the contribution of Bihar and general mental ability.

7) Qualifying in this preliminary examination will be mandatory.
