In the Research and Development Department, Mayuri Kurotsuchi received a surprising message from Kisuke Urahara about reclaiming the stolen Bankai and sought Mayuri’s help.

Mayuri assisted Urahara in infiltrating the Wandenreich’s systems, seeking to understand Quincy’s inability to steal Resurreccion. Urahara revealed his invention, Shin’eiyaku pills, designed to counter Quincy. The pills reacted with those possessing Bankai, weakening Quincy. Meanwhile, Mayuri deduced Quincy’s fear of Hollows and why they couldn’t steal their powers. As Cang attacked Hitsugaya, the latter’s ice wing manifested, and Hitsugaya speculated that Hyorinmaru sought to return. BG9 attempted to extract data from Soi Fon, but Shin’eiyaku restored her Bankai, giving her a new Hollowfied form.

Soi Fon’s Bankai was activated after she ate the pill invented by Urahara, and the missile she fired engulfed BG9 in a massive explosion. Hitsugaya confronted Cang, whose ice shard attack was thwarted by Hitsugaya’s wing. Hitsugaya revealed Hyorinmaru’s return, showing newfound power and defeating Cang with ease, and Bazz-B watched unimpressed before leaving. Hitsugaya collapsed as his wing shattered, and As Nodt and Bambietta lost their stolen Bankai. Shinji’s Bankai caused allies to see each other as enemies and succeeded in defeating his opponents. On the other hand, Hisagi, Ikkaku, and Yumichika faced Mask De Masculine, setting up a 3-on-1 death match.

Bambietta, accompanied by her friends, caused chaos among the Seretei. Komamura intervened to avenge Yamamoto, but Shinji arrived, and maneuvered his Bankai. Despite her attempts to fight back, Shinji had the upper hand. Meanwhile, Mask was bound by chains, and Ikkaku stabbed him with Hozukimaru. Yhwach activated Quincy: Vollstandig and other Sternritters followed suit, ready for a battle with the Soul Reapers. As Ichigo walked towards the gate of the Soul King Palace, he witnessed mysterious visions.
